I'm Oliver Arnold — 22, recently graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University with a BA (Hons) First Class Degree in Graphic Design.

I'm a designer who primarily works within the realm of UI/UX design,with experience in motion design and visual identities.
My work aims to evoke an emotional response, I feel very personally tied to my output as a designer, so despite utilising new technology,
my aim is to reinforce the human honesty and vulnerability shining through my work.
I enjoy finding balance in curating information and research, and building strong aesthetics to support.

I've found great passion in design, and whilst my skills are open-ended and growing, I take a lot of care in producing outputs,
whether that's been within my projects at University, or personal projects I've had on the side. 

I feel as if I'm hot-wired to offer shared experiences through my design work.

I MUST BE VISIBLE is an interactive web experience exploring how predictive algorithms have blurred the lines between creative authenticity and performed identity.
I developed an entire narrative that a user could navigate through and experience for themselves, paired with multiple motion pieces, audio and visual experiences, all tying to an overarching message.

ALIGN - The Clutter

ALIGN is a web-based magazine that explores the unexamined digital behaviours and mundane habits that users adopt on the day to day.
This issue is based on the clutter. The hoarding of information, whether that be unfinished thoughts on notes, the saved posts, the watch laters, the tabs open. 
This habit goes un-noticed, and it ties people together. It's the hope to be better.

HAVE YOU SEEN is an physical exhibition space documenting the stories behind the uncanny valley. I went through an investigation on sightings, reports,
and accounts of those who have felt this sense of unease, in an attempt to recover and restore my passion for internet horror.

Brief set in collaboration with INTERNATIONAL MAGIC, creating a “Library for the Future.” I took my love of old internet horror and re-imagined it for a new generation.
